Even though I watched Country File the other day featuring bits of hedge laying, I wasn’t quite sure of the whole procedure. Today was a great opportunity to see and DO IT live, with our great tutor. (By the way, I do not watch country file every week – it’s like jazz, I want to avoid it til I feel like I’m really mature!)
I will not bore you with all the process but if you are interested, I am willing to tell you more!
Here is a finished section. It is amazing how a branch keeps living after being cut so harsh, leaving just one tiny bit connected to the rootstock.
Everyone is working hard – only a week and a bit before Snowdrop Study Day and grand(?) opening for the year!
