It's the last day of September.
I was given two good sessions by very experienced senior gardener, o e in Walled Garden and the other in Quarry Garden.
I will not go into details with you (because it’s Friday evening!) but we talked about deadheading, weed (how they spread and how to eradicate these) and conifer hedging.
This Lespedeza thunbergii is looking at its best in Quarry Garden.
The warm weather continues and once in a while we are having sunny warm weekend!
Can you tell the difference between these two?

These are both wild, in the same Genus Cardamine. The first one is C. pratensis and second one is C. hirsute.
両方とも野生の植物で同じ属 Cardamine です。種は上のとおり。
We keep C. pratensis (cuckooflower) in Tower Strip area but not C. hirsute (Bittercress) anywhere in the garden!
最初の写真のほうはタワー・ストリップ エリアでは残して咲かせます。２番目の写真のほうは雑草扱いで、取り去ります。

It was another summer day (I hear it was nearly 30 in London!). Nice but I don’t really need more tan this year, especially because I wear gloves all the time my hands stay relatively while and arms much darker, making me look a bit strange (I feel anyway)! …I shouldn’t complain on a sunny day…
今日もまた夏のような日でした。これ以上日焼けしなくてもいいんだけどなー・・・なんて晴れの日に文句を言ってはいけませんね！
Almost the end of september. Mid autumn...
But we are having Indian Summer! Today it was like summer, no cloud, strong sun with nice breeze. Really beautiful day. I hope this will last until weekend. (it said to continue for a couple of days)
もう９月の終わりです。秋も深まってきた・・・
と思いきや！インディアン・サマーです。今日は夏の日のようでした。雲ひとつない青空（日本では秋はよく晴れるけど、こっちはまったくそうでもない）。週末まで天気いいといいなぁ。
The Bulb Meadow
I spent half a day working in Rhododendron Walk and Lime Tree Walk, mainly weeding nasty things like brambles. It is relatively large area and on wilder side. It is difficult to decide what to do for four hours every two weeks. Not that there is nothing to do (quite opposite) but unlike more highly cultivated area (such as Walled Garden), you can’t go around weeding tiny weeds one by one. So what I do is to scan the whole area and go around taking major weeds etc but then it doesn’t take up the whole time…
今日は半日はロードデンドロン・ウォークとライムトゥリー・ウォークで、主に雑草取り。わりと広くてワイルドなエリアで、２週間に４時間しかメンテの時間がないので、できることはいっぱいあるけどさて、何から始めよう、と、いつもやや迷ってしまいます。
Anyway I was called back to the construction site and worked there for the afternoon. We somehow managed to finish it and the plan is to pour concrete in on Friday.
で、午後はまたレンガの続き・・・（２０１１０９２７参照）なんとかやり終えて、金曜のコンクリ待ちです。
